Workshop DIH Be-cause health - Decolonising global health
Decolonising global health: an interactive workshop

Triggered by two major events, the Covid-19 pandemic and the anti-racist Black Lives Matter protests, the last year or two have seen an amplification of calls for the decolonisation of global health. But what do we mean when we speak of decolonising the world of global health? Why is it necessary to decolonise global health? Is it possible to decolonise global health with a series of incremental reforms or do we need a systemic overhaul? And how can Be-cause health contribute to the decolonisation of global health?

On January 27 (2PM-4PM Brussels Time), the working group Determinants of International Health invites Charles Ddungu and Clara Affun-Adegbulu of the Antwerp Institute of Tropical Medicine for an interactive virtual workshop to discuss these questions and introduce us to the field of decolonising global health. Want to join? Register below.

The plenary session will be translated between English and French. Based on your replies with the registration, we will also organize breakout rooms in French and if necessary in Dutch. Thank you for your understanding.

La session plénière sera traduite entre l'anglais et le français. En fonction de vos réponses lors de l'inscription, nous organiserons aussi des breakout rooms en français et si nécessaire en néerlandais. Merci de votre compréhension.
